National Workshop to Share Learning and Views by INP+

Dear Forum,

“Positive Prevention” and “Second line ARV” are two important topics among

matters of serious concern for people living with HIV/AIDS in India today.

In an attempt to explore details and to gather evidence base information for

helping to design programmes and policies, INP+ with the support of DFID

challenge fund for HIV/AIDS has generated few materials on the topics. We would

like to share these key materials to NACO and other key stakeholders in a

National Dissemination Workshop to be held from 14-16 March 2007 At Heniz

Auditorium, YMCA Tourist Hostel, Jaising Road, New Delhi.

Ms. Silke, Health Advisor, DFID will inaugurate the workshop at 10 am on

14.03.2007.

We cordially invite the forum members to walk-in and participate all or the

sessions you feel interested.

The DAY 1 (March 14) will be solely dedicated to the research findings on

positive prevention and recommendations. Principal investigator of the study,

Dr.Venkateshan Chakrapani will lead the sessions.

On DAY 2 (March 15) -morning session will have presentation of discussion paper

on “Patent and ARV” by Mr.Gopa Kumar and in the after noon session Ms. Preeti

Radha Krishnan will present discussion paper on the “Feasibility of introducing

Second line ARV medicines at the national ARV Roll out programme.

On DAY 3 (March 16) - morning session will share and elaborate on the TOT

Training module for people living with HIV on GIPA, Positive Prevention and

Access to Treatment.

Workshop will end up with a stakeholder discussion from 2.00 to 3.30 pm where

findings and recommendations of the materials shared will be discussed with key

stakeholders.
