Guest guest
I was watching my local news last night and they reported that Social Security will be bankrupt by 2041 and Medicare will loose all it's money by 2014. I am really worried since I just got approved for SSDI and I am should be eligbale for Medicaid. There was an article in the Rocky Mountain News today on the recent cuts to Medicaid. Under the new rules issued by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services last year, nearly $15 billion would have to be cut from Medicaid over the next five years. I am new to paying close attention to SSI, Medicare and Medicaid. I know soical security is a " hot " topic, how does SSDI factor into all if this? Do I need to be worried? I am hoping that I will still be eligable for Medicaid, but with all the recent cuts, I don't know if they will change the guidelines on who is eligable. I think that differs from state to state. All of you are so helpful and knowledgeable on every question I have so I thought I would throw this out there.
