A Majority of Rheumatoid Arthritis Patients Live with Moderate to

Severe Pain, RA Expert Says

A recent McGill University survey of rheumatoid arthritis patients who

received the " Rolls-Royce of treatment " from university specialists

revealed that most were still living with moderate to severe pain. Yet

a surprising 60 percent said they were satisfied with their pain

management.

" We've begun to realize that pain has a very, very important impact

upon our overall well being, and maybe the correct answer is no longer

to just grin and bear it, " said Dr. -Ann Fitzcharles, lead author

of the study.
