SYNOPSIS: " SECOND LIFE " Second life is a documentary film about testimonies from people living with HIVAIDS. After 20 years of epidemic in India, there is a lot of stigma and discrimination against the disease, therefore against the people suffering from this disease. The protagonists of the film are people who are living normal lives. They rebuild their lives again with resilience and faith after knowing their status. The documentary presents 3 stories of PLHAs LOVE MARRIAGE MEENA is HIV +ve. After her husband got blind her in-laws started to blame her. She has 3 children. MANISH is HIV –ve and he is living with his grandmother. MAHIMA is HIV –ve and is in Vision in Social Arena Home. SAKSHI is HIV+ve and she started ARVs on her birthday. MEENA remarried in 2005. LIVING ON THE STREETS JAIKAR is HIV+ve. After he knew his status, he disclosed it openly to his wife. His daughter tells him to leave the house. He started living on the streets. He got TB in 2003 for the first time. JAIKAR was diagnosed with Tuberculosis MDR TB and finally he died in July 2006. MY DREAM KAMAL is HIV +ve. She knew her status after 6 months of marriage. He was a doctor and he never disclosed his status to anyone. She has a daughter. After her husband died, she decided to complete her medical studies to become a Doctor and to live for positive people like her.
