I've been a subscriber to this list for quite a while, but have been on

web only/no mail mode. I've just changed my setting back to digest mode, and

figured that I'd better reintroduce myself because it's been so long since I

posted.

My name is Di, and I am a 50-year-old stay-at-home mom with two kids:

(son) is 15 and an off-and-on-again low carber; Judy (daughter) is 9

and could stand to low carb but doesn't. My husband, Rod, is a high school

vice principal, and would eat a dead weasel if you sprinkled it with sugar

and slapped it between two pieces of white bread.

I used to be an elementary teacher, and have also taught GED, ceramics,

and gardening classes through community education programs. I currently call

the substitute teachers for our secondary schools, am the editor for

CarbSmart, and am working on a low carbohydrate cookbook, Celebrate Low Carb.

I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone all over again. <g>

Welcome back to all our No Mailers! It's good to see you here again!

As many of you may remember, the last time I tried to clean up the list of

outdated e-mail addresses, I invoked a plethora of vitriolic mail because I

reset everyone's subscriptions to individual e-mails, and all of a sudden

they were getting 200 e-mails a day after getting none. Well . . . it was

one way to do it, and Robin Purtee seemed to have enjoyed it immensely!

At any rate, this time I was a wee bit smarter . . . I downloaded all 583 of

our e-mail addresses, culled out all but the no-mail ones, and sent one

e-mail to all of our no-mailers reminding them that we are still here and we

miss them. Don't know why I didn't think of this last time, except that it

was a huge pain in the rump to have to go through all of those addresses,

cutting and so forth to arrive at the 270+ list of people who are currently

No Mail. Ah, well . . . . the sad life of a list owner.

At least I didn't stir up a hornet's nest this time, and a few of our oldies

but goodies have returned to active status, and we sure are glad about that!

Robin, sorry to rob you of your jollies, old girl!
