Guest guest
Roselyn, I had this problem too and it took 18 months to figure out why. It turned out that I was totally deficient of vitamin B6. This is unusual to have NO detectable levels of a vitamin which is so necessary for the nervous system. It turns out that many people with RA and inflammation have a B6 deficiency but most docs are not aware of the connection. Try supplementing with biotin and b6. My crapms went away in 3 days. Biotin is sold at Walgreens behind the counter for about $20.00 under the brand name Apparex. It will help nails and hair too. You won't get enough from just the bottles on the shelf. Good luck and I hope it works as well for you as for me! Guest guest
Roselyn -- I'm on the same meds as you, and I go through periods when I have severe muscle cramps in my toes and even up the calves of my legs. It usually happens in the night, and I have to get out of bed and walk it off. During these times I'll also have minor cramps in my fingers, all day long. I'm told its caused by the RA, but my B6 was ok, and after a week or so it will disappear.
