Guest guest
A friend of mine has a one year old son who has recently been told by an ENT that the son is allergic to milk, which is causing a continuously runny nose and ear infections. He wants them to stay away from not just fluid milk, but milk in all foods. The ENT wants her to remove any foods with milk in them, including bread. She switched him to soy milk and he got diarrhea. She then tried rice milk with the same symptom of diarrhea. Pediatrics and allergies are definately out of my comfort zone. Does anyone have any ideas or know a dietitian that might be able to help? I would appreciate it.
Guest guest
If the child is allergic to both dairy and soy, I might try a hydrolized supplement or, if that causes diarrhea, too, an elemental one. They do come flavored now.
