To clarify, yes, this is for athletes seeking muscle mass gains. I am

seeking what RDs recommend for that population.

Recommendations for weight gain are really about adequate protein with extra

calories. Check Gail Butterfield's work (when she was at Stanford) well

published in Med Sci Sports & Exer and other journals.
