I wanted to thank everyone for their responses to my magnet therapy

question. A couple of people came to my work place and gave a seminar about

magnet therapy. It turned out to be a big sales pitch. The brand they were

selling, Nikken, is very expensive. I've been surfing the web and ebay so

that I might find a cheaper alternative.

Thanks again.

Beth,

I'm really behind on messages. What kind of magnet therapy were they

pitching? My parents put magnets (cheap hardware store variety) at the foot

of their bed for years and swore by them.

Barb,

All kinds from a company called Nikken. It's real high priced stuff. After

the positive responses I got I did a search on the web and found some

cheaper alternatives. I also won an auction on ebay for a magnetic

massager. It should be about $20 less than what the other people wanted. I

haven't received any of the items yet. I ordered a necklace, a bracelet and

a ring. Can you tell I like jewelry? Hopefully they will work. If not, at

least I tried. Then maybe on to ebay!

Thanks for your help.

Pat,

They didn't go into that with me. They tried to sell me a massager, neck

brace and insoles.

Sorry

Beth

What size magnet did they use and exactly how did they set them up?

Could you ask them for me PLEASE?

Thanx

Pat

My mom used to be in a home based business (like Tupperware, Avon, etc )

that sold all sorts of homeopathic type devices including magnetic

bracelets, massaging car seat covers, special pillows, magnetic sheets that

you put under your mattress, inserts for your shoes etc

She swore by it ..

but she had so much magnetic energy surrounding her lol I could never tell

where north was :)

My mom emailed me back it was Nikken that she had a financial interest in a

few years ago but she found it very expensive and couldn't keep her business

going from home so she ended up using most of the stock herself ha ha but

she said it worked great but there were alot of comparable less expensive

items out there on the market.

I ended up finding a place on the web that was much cheaper. I bought a

bracelet, a ring and a necklace. I just got them yesterday. The bracelet

needs to be taken to a jeweler as it is too big. I like the ring. I'm not

sure about the necklace. It looks nice but it is very heavy around my neck.

Nikken makes one that is much lighter but $100 more. They retail for $150.

They have one on ebay that's around $84 with another day to go. I'm not

even sure if it works yet. The guy that was doing the selling was a

podiatrist. He was doing this on the side to make up for managed care

eating into his profits. I didn't trust this guy at all. Too high sell. I

could see dollar signs in his eyes! Your mom doesn't have any leftover

necklaces does she?
