“Yesterday, I had a patient tell me that I don’t understand how hard it is

to loose weight because I’m skinny.â€

Whenever I hear something like that, I say, “Oh, would you rather try to learn

how to control your weight from someone who can’t?†Or, when someone says,

“Why are you watching what you eat? You don’t have a weight problem.†I

say,†How do you think people shaped like me stay that way?â€

I would think those are too, Merav. Thank you.

Changing subjects, I just noticed what you have under your name: “A Dietitian,

not the food policeâ€. People at my work don’t like to eat around me. I’m

the

only Dietitian here and I send weekly messages (by my boss’ request) to

everyone

with healthy eating tips. Now, when I enter the kitchen people feel like I’m

the

food police, and they make comments to that nature. I don’t like that. I’m

not

judgmental at all about people’s choices. I do eat healthy most of the time

and

I guess that bothers people, apparently. I’m not sure if you guys experience

that…

Yesterday, I had a patient tell me that I don’t understand how hard it is to

loose weight because I’m skinny. I told her, it is hard work for me to

maintain

my weight too. If I let go I’d for sure gain weight. All I’m doing is

practice

what I preach.

Subject: Question on red meat

Hello guys,

I was looking for a source that classifies what meats are considered red. Does

anybody know of one? Can you confirm if they are beef, pork, veal and lamb?

Anything else? Thank you!

That's exactly what I say too. I stay in shape because I watch what I eat and I

exercise. And is not only about looking good on the outside, because one can be

skinny and unhealthy. I care about how my inside looks :)
