Guest guest
Hello everyone! Have any of you tried Mobic as an NSAID? I was taken off of my Voldren (diclofenac) last week as it is one of the NSAIDS that is really hard on the liver, and I have chronic abnormally elevated liver functions since 1999 to present (and am tested every 3 months). A rheumatologist that was taking care of me while my previous one had left the hospital had put me on it. As soon as my original doctor noticed it, we stopped the drug immediately. I have tried going without the NSAID for the past week and I have noticed an increase in pain and stiffness, including even in my lower and middle back where I previously have not had any problems. I will be picking this up from the pharmacy this evening and am being started on a low dose which she said we can increase later. I thank you all for any input:) __________________________________________________
Guest guest
mobic, I am on 15 mg a day, it does not mess with the stomach as much as some of the other NSAID's I have been on it fora long time and it does help with the inflammation. I have had no problems with it. My pharmacy did tell me it was not a good idea to take other anti inflammatories such as Motrin on top of it. Jean stephanie <stephieann2@...> wrote: Hello everyone! Guest guest
Thank you so much Holly! I took my first dosage of it today! I haven't been on any NSAIDs since March 3rd since that is when I was told to stop my Diclofenac. The first day I noticed increased stiffness, but the past few days I have had extremely severe pain in my lower and middle back (which I don't usually get). I never think that NSAIDS work that much for me since I always have some degree of pain and stiffness, but apparently they do! I was wondering how this would work since I was on 50mgs of Diclofenac 2 times a day, and this is a one a day. She started me out at 7.5mgs that we can increase to the 15mgs but wanted to minimize any side effects. So far, I have noticed that I am just a little groggy, but that may be due to all the extra back pain I am experiencing! Thank you for your input it definitely helps me:) --- hpigrl316 <hollythomas@...> wrote: > I am on mobic also and it seems to be a pretty safe > drug. and it > works pretty well. it's one of those that when i'm > on it i dont > always know if it's working, but then i go off of it > and realize that > it was helping a ton. hope that helps. > > Holly > > > > > > Hello everyone! > > Have any of you tried Mobic as an NSAID?
