I agree with . I have an Aunt, she just turned 90 in February, she is

the most important female in my life, nothing could keep me from her. I would

definately ask the nurses and do what they tell you as far as precaution. You

can be standing next to someone with MRSA in the food store and not know it, at

least you know to prepare.

Ask the nurses for any special steps to take to protect yourself from

infection. In fact you might want to ask if your aunt is contagious.

She might not be, if the infection is internal. Ask for a mask and

gown to wear, if that would make your husband happy, but not seeing

your aunt and to not say good-bye. No, not if you can safely go see her.

I am so sorry to hear about your aunt! I would go to the hospital. My dad was

54 when he passed away from AML Leukemia a few years ago. He had developed an

infection. They wouldn't let anyone in to see him without a gown or mask

anyway, and had them right outside the door. Keeping you in my thoughts and

prayers
