Hi Lori!

Welcome to the group! Is it RA that you have? I'm not

sure if you have tried the DMARDS (which help slow the

progression of the disease) Plaquenil? Sulfasalazine?

These help slow the disease and help ease the pain. I

always feel they are not working because I have so

much pain. Yet when I get an infection (bronchitis,

etc) and have to stop the medications, the pain is so

intense it hurts to breathe. So I know it is doing

something. Many here have experience with the

biologics as well such as Enbrel. This is a great

group with very supportive people! Everyone is very

caring, has plenty of experiences to share.

Lori -- where in Illinois are you? I am in the Chicago area and I love

my rheumatologist. Why have you bounced from one doc to another? Which

medications have you tried? What symptoms are you battling besides the
