Guest guest
I have an appointment in 30 days (WOOHOO) with an orthopedic surgeon to discuss my knees getting replaced. In my reading, I just had this horrible image pop into my head and wanted feedback if there was feedback to behad on the subject. A few years ago, my regular ortho drained my knee. If other RA patients are like me, they wanted to see the fluid. And for those who know what that fluid looks like, it looks like yellowish/brownish thick fluid. I swear that doctor probably got 50 ccs (is that possible? LOL) of this fluid out of my knee. So this got me to thinking...if they take your knee out, how in the world do they handle that gross fluid?? That seems like an infection waiting to happen.
