I have been on Loestrin for about 6 months and am doing ok. I had taken it for a while before I switched to Ortho-Tri-Cyclen. Tri- Cyclen made me gain weight, and I lost all simblance of a libido. Guest guest Posted February 20, 2002 Report Share Posted February 20, 2002 Amy- My GP put me on the Grandaddy of all birth control...Ortho Novum 7-7-7 at 15 to help with my cramps, etc (I wasn't dx until years later) and I did wonderfully - my skin was perfect and during my teen years, I probably didn't even wash my face! It really straightened out my cycles too....28 days on the dot, with AF for 4 days and minimal cramping. I stayed on it until April of 2001.
