POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the overall Nutrition function within Solon R & D. The position

will be focused on developing R & D Nutrition Strategy by factoring consumer

needs, new functional ingredients, industry/government regulations and Nestle

policy. The successful candidate will lead / assist in the development of new

concepts and lead/manager R & D projects related to NHW. He or she has to be

proactive with Nestlé and outside nutrition knowledge networks in understanding

the latest developments in NHW and leveraging that to our projects and products

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Supports/ leads the R & D projects that are NHW focused

2. Concept development together with development chefs/technologists and

marketing in the area of NHW

3. To develop R & D Nutrition Strategy by factoring consumer needs, new functional

ingredients, industry/government regulations and Nestle policy

4. Nutrition Network ' Keep abreast of latest Scientific and technological

developments and leveraging the nutritional expertise internally & externally to

support the projects & develop R & D Nutrition strategy

5. Nutritional Analysis for all the 60:40 products (R & D led new products)

6. Knowledge about functional ingredients & proactive with suppliers

7. Support Nestlé Quality Management System initiatives

8. Support various business customers in NHW related technical assistance

9. Represent Nestlé in various Scientific and Industry organizations in the USA

(related to NHW)

10. Support Knowledge management Process in sharing latest NHW developments with

colleagues

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

Minimum of a MS in Nutrition

EXPERIENCE:

Candidate will have a minimum of 10 or more years experience in the food

industry or equitable experience.

SKILLS:

' Excellent communication skills through oral, written, and presentation

communication abilities which provide clear and concise explanations of the

Nutritional science and understanding.

' Interest & motivation to apply the nutritional knowledge in to product

development

' Networking & Information gathering skills

' Ability to interact with cross functional teams

' Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects in a cross-functional

environment, while delivering significant business results.

' Excellent organizational skills.

' Exposure to product development activities and food manufacturing facilities.

' A strong ability to coach, train, and mentor product developers in the areas

of NHW

' Ability to Travel 10 - 15%.
