Guest guest
i would talk to your dr. i was pregnant at 26 & have severe ra,osteo, & neuropathy. my obgyn knew so much about ra & pregnancy so i was LUCKY.i got off all my meds except 5mg.of pred.i have never FELT SO ALIVE & PAIN FREE AS I DID WHEN ,I WAS PREGNANT!!! im HAPPY to SAY, I HAVE A HEALTHY 11YR.OLD DAUGHTER,ALYSSA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! however, when alyssa was BORN i had to get back on ALL MEDS..it would be nice if i COULD BE PREGNANT ALL THE TIME.LOL!! god bless, melyndagamez 3/29/08 4:18p.m.central time [ ] Should I meet w/ my DR or suck it up Fortunately for me, my children were grown by the time I was diagnosed with RA, but I have had friends who have RA and have been pregnant. All of them were on Pred at one time or the other while they were pregnant and one was on the entire time. I think if you do some research, no harm will come to the baby by your taking pred. The pred will at least reduce the inflammation and have you feeling better. Personally, I think your Rheumy needs to know what is going on with you whether you decide to take any meds during your pregnancy or not because I feel there is a great chance that you are really going to need some help once your child is born. If he knows what is going on, I believe he will be more prepared to help you when you need it. I'll keep you in my prayers and good luck to you.
