Guest guest
Somebody out there must be reading my mind. I was going to post about Eddie's strange body temperatures and found a related post when I logged on. Anyway, I can understand if both feet are cold, but have any of the kids experienced one HOT foot and one ICE-COLD one simultaneously? Ed's left foot (to mid-calf) was so hot it looked like he was wearing a red sock. The pediatrician was mystified, even more so when the next day the left foot was the cold one and the right was the hot one. We were sent to the cardiologist (nothing wrong there) but are still wondering what's going on. Ed's body was fighting the flu and an ear infection at the time. Could that somehow have effected his circulation? joanne << However, has been having really cold feet syndrome! LOL. He will climb into bed and ask to snuggle. When I let him, it is like having ice cubes against my legs. When we went to the Cardiologist today, she said that it was pumping issues (circulation) and that the blood flow to his extremities will slow down to make it easier for the heart to pump. Anyone have any experience with this? Any advice? >>

Guest guest
Ahhh...maybe time to have a blood test to check levels? Maybe a change in your dosage is necessary soon... Anytime I have any funky stuff going on, I get my thyroid checked also. I take (1) 1mg synthroid/day. Guest guest
Janet, I have not been reading all the posts so I am sorry if this is off base. I just wanted to say that Patty does not get temps any more. When she was a baby it would spike to 105-106 no problem. In the beginning she would be very ill with a temp that high. After she was olde, age 3 or 4 she would be alert, laughing yet have a temp like that. Many times though she would have COLD hands and feet. I asked and asked and asked about it and we were told she had poor blood circulation. Around age 7 or 8 she no longer got temps. I mean she would have green mucus pouring out her ears, have a full blown bladder infection... yet have no temp. A doctor finally told me we have a gland in the base of the brain that controls temps and hers either burnt out or had for some reason become dysfunctional. The way we knew of illnesses was her behavior intensified. She does keep a normal body temp around 98 degrees. I don't know if any of this helps you. Good luck. Take care.
