Guest guest
, I've taught the night class for nutrition for 13yrs and also do this project. I'm not sure what book you use and what analysis program but my book is Understanding Nutrition and the program is Diet Analysis. I do like it but give students the opp to use the free online mypyramid program (guess, I'll have to change my assignment to represent myplate!) Anyway, I do know that it allows for several days analysis b/c my students do it. What I like about mypyramid/plate is that it analyzes all the vit/min - does fitday? or the others? anyoen know?  Neily, MS, RD, CSSD, LD Registered and Licensed Dietitian Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics Nutrition Consultant to Meals to Live, LLC www.mealstolive.com  Website: www.jenniferneily.com Follow me on Twitter: www.twitter.com/Neily and Facebook! www.facebook.com/NeilyonNutrition

Guest guest
Hi , I have used the program that came with our textbook, too, but didn't like it either. I have used MyPyramidTracker for the last few semesters, not my favorite. Last night, I asked the class for suggestions of programs they have used. I am experimenting with this....I have agreed to let them choose their own program. I gave them the same guidelines as I required previously. The class was receptive to the options. I suggested they answer the " 5 W questions " to determine if the website is reliable. Some students will probably use apps on their smartphones if they can somehow get graphs through the program.
