Guest guest
No, unfortunately even with remission, not all days are good. When I am in remission, I still feel like hell for about an hour in the morning, still have joints that hurt. BUT....during a flare, I may feel like hell ALL day, never get unstiff, all my joints hurt and several will swell. I will also develop eye pain sometimes, sometimes headaches, severe fatigue, often lose my appetite. I also urinate copiously, crave salt, want to sleep all the time but don't sleep well. <kmitch1966@...> wrote: Thank you ladies for all the info...gout ?? interesting, I too eat a lot of ground turkey, I will have to check into that.Yes the energy level is gruesome, I had to force myself out of bed today, but I made it...YEAH !! I hope all of you have an energetic and bless day. I do have one more question, I ran out of the house and forgot my celebrex this morning..and I am stiff all over...Do you think that is the result or is it a bad flare, last night was crazy bad..I would think it would stay in my system for a day...one more thing sorry, im new to all of this, when a person is in remission, and controlled does that mean all days are good, or is it like now, up and down...some days i wake up and think yeah im okay, and an hour later I feel drained and pained...Is this disease like this forever ??? --------------------------------- Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Guest guest
One thing most folks don't mention in managing this disease is movement. Move and you will feel better. When you sit, stand, lay in one place, you go through the gel phenomenon and stiffen up. So.....RA folks, don't sit for extended periods of time w/o getting up and moving around long enough to limber up again. For myself, I find that I do better if I DON " T sleep for an extended length of time, but split my sleep needs over 2 or 3 shorter sleep times. And exercise as much as you can tolerate, but DON " T overdo. <kmitch1966@...> wrote: Thank you ladies for all the info...gout ?? interesting, I too eat a lot of ground turkey, I will have to check into that.Yes the energy level is gruesome, I had to force myself out of bed today, but I made it...YEAH !! Guest guest
Hi : Welcome..... I have R.A., been under treatment for 5 1/2 years. I have found with me that I have some flare-ups, but not as bad as before. I too, wake up stiff, but in a few hours it is a little less. I don't take Celebrix, but I do take other prescription meds. My biggest complaint is my feet.... they are so painful and stiff, that some days I can hardly walk or stand on them. I am retired, so I rest often. What have you been diagnosed with? I hope you have a good Rheumy, one that you like, as that is so important. I sure hope you feel better soon, and that you have a good day today. P.S. Are you from Ma.? Guest guest
Hi, I was just wondering if anyone out there is pregnant with RA. I am in my 11th week, hoping to go into a remission, but my wrist has been having the worst flare (I can't even get my one year old in and out of the car) for the past three weeks. If anyone is pregnant or has been, I would love to hear about how your pregnancy went and when if ever you may have gone into a remission? Thanks, Janet > From: bonlucas <bonlucas@...> > Subject: [ ] Re: Toe Cramps/added on question > > Date: Wednesday, April 16, 2008, 10:24 AM > , I think that really depends.
