Hi Tonia

What a brilliant idea!

We all go through trials and error of various treatments and meds

etc. so it would be wonderful to have some feed back on the various

things we have tried.

That way we would have a varied opinion of this, that and the other,

not just the dr's.

And then like you said what you can and cant do once you have had a

SC fitted - we want to know all the + and the - of everything. so we

can then make an informed decision on whether the treatment is right

for us :-)

I do know you can't have HBO if you have an SCS.

So lets get it going:-) I have some SCS info etc that I can send in

too.

lol, I think I may have started something here! Just a reminder here though.....if you are in other groups....and I know alot of you are in other groups with me......RSD-CRPSofAmerica, RSDVictims (Oh man did I actually type that??) and any other group that offers Digest....those on Digests cannot read messages that is not in Plain Text format. So, if you send any emails out with Incredimail...you have to go to the top of your reply box, click on Messages, and then click on Plain Text for those groups.

That is another reason I got for getting kicked out of Victims besides my "Vulgar" language that I never did use........lol. Guess I used it when arguing with her over it! oops......

oh well. I found a better group now!!!!!!

ya know, I was adopted at the age of 3......I do think I could handle being adopted at the age of 28/almost 29 again.......lol......I LOVE to shop!!!!!!

well, I love to shop....my checkbook tells me differently every day though.

right now I'm unpatiently waiting for something in the mail from Social Security! I am not a patient person to begin with......and I hate to wait!! But, chances are, I'll be denied anyways, cause I doubt if the Migraines and depression will help the RSD dx to get me qualified. But, oh man, any money coming into this house would be great!

Oh well.....luxuries are just that I guess!

Hey, I didn't know they got a picture of me in this thing! lol

Talk to ya later!

Thanks, Tonia -- and to the many others who have posted suggestions. I gotta tell you, though, Tonia, that sentence in your post almost had me falling off the chair laughing! It has been years since the Big Sis has gone shopping for anything for herself! I think I might have even mentioned before that I am the queen of outlet shopping (even figured out the deal with getting coupons from the management of the outlet -- so I get to shop the outlets with coupons). It was important for me to get the issue of skin sensitivity because I am the one who whizzes around everywhere looking for the soft clothing. And, in fact, I have shopped for, purchased and shipped her shoes (and clothes and underwear) up there for years . . . as well as stuff for the grandkids. A couple of years ago I shipped her down here for a vacation, and was actually able to take her into one store to try on shoes -- and she ended up with five pair. It's a running joke among her friends up there about how they want me as their sister. I seriously doubt they want the bad stuff that goes with the package, though. LOL!! I scold her like there is no tomorrow when she does stupid things -- like breaking her little toe Friday night. Nope. They certainly don't want that part, do they. Thanks again for all the help, guys. You'll never know how much it is appreciated. (aka the Little Sis)

nah, two different groups....and one is a lot longer of a story......and my hand and arm is killing me bad tonite....ended up in the dr. office unexpecdily this morning. Had Anxiety attack that paralyzed my arm....hubby dropped me off at dr office while he went grocery shopping for his parents store. couldn't see my dr cause he wasn't there yet.....so I seen another dr. he sent me to have x-rays on my neck. normal.....of course.

he told me that my arm was doing this from the anxiety attack.....not from the RSD. Ok.....because of the RSD, I started having the stupid anxiety attacks that paralyzed my stupid arm and hand. the jerk.

I can barely move it now some, and am forcing my fingers to type....but oh ouch. not good. not only that, I was up all night....and went in without any sleep. got some between 1 and 5 this afternoon. am planning on making sure I really get some good sleep tonite! Remind me......and I'll fill ya in on the reason why I got kicked out of Victims....or Dori can tell ya, she knows. Is she in this group? lost my brain here again! Its the only group in 2 years I've gotten kicked out of. and for stuff that the owner made up! geesh.....can ya tell that it still makes me mad?

This other thing was because this one member attacks all new members it seems like for no reason.....when I somewhat stood up for her rude behavior telling the guy that she must of had a bad day again.....she decided to jump my rear end. Well.....needless to say, I wasn't so nice the second time. Mieke can fill ya in on that story. lol.....I love having members from other groups in here that can fill others in for me!

Ok....really over did it this time.....ouch! bed time!

Hopefully it will be for the rest of the night! if so....talk to ya all tomorrow....if not...talk to ya all very early in the morning....especially you Mieke since you are the only one I have on my messenger! lol....poor thing, stuck with me again!

How can it be better? I took my meds at 6 pm, so that I could be asleep by 11 since it takes my Sonata about 5 hours to help me finally get to sleep.....my nerves are so shot about the Deposition today, I finally fell asleep about 2 am, woke up every hour or so.....

Crystal came in about 4 to lay beside me and once that happens, there is NO sleep happening with her boney body near ya!

So.......its now almost 7, my stomach is threatening to leave me, I I still need a shower, Petey just woke up, Sami is already outside riding her bike, my left foot is acting up along with the rest of my body, I already have a headache and all I want to do is crawl right back into bed!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Tonia,

Yes it is an anti depressant, actually I couldn't handle it any time other than before bed it wipes me out completely. I never slept before taking seroquel.

I hope you can call your primary today and tell him to phone in an antibiotic for you. Feel better Tonia. Did you ever get any pain meds? This could help your mood too!

Hi Tonia, Wow, you sure have your hands full. Trying to relax in your

house must be very hard. And that pregnancy, how did you ever get

through it. I sure hope you get some help from the pain center you are

going to go to. You have been throuh enough. Maybe this pain center

will be the answer to everything.

If they are any good they should be able to help you with your abdomen

pain also.

I sure can understand why you are losing your hair. But I can tell you

that it is not only from the stress. RSD can also make you lose your

hair too. I had a flare during last summer and my hair got so thin. It

is finally starting to get thicker this summer.

Take care and try to rest.

lol, I'm still trying to figure out what the words Relax, vacation, kid-free.....any of those words mean!!!!!

Actually Crystal, my 3 1/2 yr old is my Special Educational Child.

She doesn't actually talk yet. Her Communication Skills are still around the 22 month age level, which also means her Academic level is low too.

Luckily, Iowa is one of the States that has the Early Intervention Programs...and I got her tested back in March. By the first week of April, She was in Special Education Pre-school, in the same building as Sami is in. This year, Sami will be in 3rd grade, and Crystal will have her first full year of Preschool. Both goes 5 days. Last year, Crystal only went 4 days. The only difference is that Crystal rides a different bus, and Crystal gets out at 1:30 pm where Sami doesn't get out until 3:30.

In 2005, Crystal will be able to go to Kindergarden.....or we are hoping anyways. She is doing the same things I did when I was her age....and I went into regular Kindergarten, but, right now, the State and the school aren't promising that Crystal will.

But, at the age of 1, she took out the screws on the safety gates to get out of the area she was in.....she could undo any lock there was that didn't require a key. Their Pediatrician's office, the doctor had a box that someone made him, that had every kind of lock on it.....ones that didn't need a key. Sami got most of them....except for like 4 of them. She was 6 years old. Their doctor said that she did pretty good. Then Crystal got a hold of it. Crystal undid every one that Sami did......and then locked each and every one.....and unlocked each and every one!!! Their doctor needless to say was shocked. Crystal was only 18 months old.

He now knows that if we say that she escaped....it was nothing of our fault....as we actually took pictures of how we have added locks to our front and back doors to keep her in the house, out of cabinets...the works. He has seen everything we have done. So, now if she does get hurt, considering she is also a daredevil and is not scared of a thing....he just looks at her, and asks her what was she thinking! lol He knows that she is just that kind of a kid!

omg....gotta go......she is trying to stick a hotwheel up the kittens butt!

Hi Tonia, Thanks for the info on where Danette lives. I don't know

which part of New Jersey Trenton is. I will have to look at a map. If

it is in the Northern part of New Jersey then she is not too far from

me. About maybe 35 min. or so.

How are you feeling today? I am tired and I don't know why but my legs

hurt tonight. Take care

I'm thinking she said one time that she is an hour south of New York City???? Not Positive on that one though! lol. I remember she said that she used to go to the City to go clubbing alot. lol....heck...you are talking to a COUNTRY GIRL here! lmao! Someone says New York City to me and I'm like WOW! Heck, the biggest City I've ever been to is Chicago...and I've only been on the outskirts of that even!

I can tell you how to get to Bolling Brook, Illinois to the Denny's...and to Damien Ave. Thats it. lol

Give me a little baby city like Omaha, Nebraska....or Council Bluffs, Iowa.....I can get you almost ANYWHERE there!

Feeling? crappy!!! Got in to the doctor today...called and talked to a nurse...asked for one this time!

Sinus infection and a virus. I told him when he asked that I was allergic to penicillian. So, what does he put me on??

Cephalexin 500mg 4x's a day. Something in the PENICILLIAN FAMILY!!! Grrrrrrrr. I hate it when he does that cause I do nothing but itch and itch and itch constantly! and Benadryl does nothing to help me against it either.

I did get to have some fun though! hehehe.

I had a lump on my stomach that I wanted him to check out. So, after he looked at it, he went over to his counter area. When he got to that side of me, he asked me how my RSD was doing.....BIG MISTAKE!!! This is the same doctor who refuses to give ANY KIND of pain meds to anyone who has Chronic pain that is not on their death beds.

I told him straight out:

It hurts like a Son of a B**ch. If I could start the chain saw, I wouldn't be there with two legs. But, since my hand and arm hurts really bad also, I can't start the d*mn chain saw either!

LMAO!!!! I swear, he turned around so fast that he almost dropped the stuff in his hands!!!!

The next words out of his mouth was asking me what the name of the Psych I was seeing and what meds did he have me on!!!!!

OMG I was laughing my butt off all the way out to the car!!!! Poor Petey...he kept looking at me like I fell off my rocker!

At least my GP did give me the referral I needed for Monday for the Pain Clinic. It says Please see/eval/treat for RSD.

So, tomorrow, I'm getting that little thing copied! That way, I have a copy of it all for myself!

Oh, and my GP wants my Psych to send copies of his notes to him ASAP. lol.....it was fun though! thats what he gets for not even giving me anything during my flares!!!

Hi Tonia, I can't tell you how glad that I am that you got to see your

dr today. Boy you really got that dr, didn't you. I bet he almost peed

his pants. No pain meds with chronic pain, what a joke. I have to tell

you that I hate pain meds but I also don't know what I would do without

them.

Before I was in the hospital last October I was taking 8 l5mg. tablets

of Morphine that is how much pain I was in. But they did something to

help me there and now I am only on 2 l5mg a day. We will see how long I

can stay on just two. I have gone up and down with the amount of pain

meds I take over the years. I just don't understand why some drs are

afraid to give out pain meds to someone with chronic pain. I hope you

have better luck with the pain specialist.

I live in the sticks or the mountains, whatever you want to call it.

But we are only about 2 min. to the next town. Philadelphia is the

closest big city to me and that is about an hour and a half away.

I have not been to NYC for a long time but I have a friend that has RSD

that lives there and she really wants us to visit her.

Maybe in the fall. NYC is about 2 hours away. Not too bad. Sounds

likeyou live in the middle of nowhere. I have never been to Iowa.

Anything nice there, except for you of course?

Well I am off to bed. I always wait for my hubby to get up at 2 am

before I go to bed. Its a selfish reason; I just like to have the whole

bed to myself. TAke care

and nice chatting with you.

lol, I'm still laughing my butt off at my Dr's reaction!!

I've actually been without pain meds almost the whole 2 1/2 years since I've been injured and dx'd with RSD. The main doctor's I've been stuck seeing have been W/C idiots. And everyone knows that THEY won't give you an asprin even if you got on your knee's and begged!

I did go to Chicago to a Pain Clinic....which Luckily, I only had to pay for the first appt. which cost $1200 up front. My inlaws paid for it. They also paid for all the gas, any motel stays....food, the works. My father in law took out a loan just so we could go. Iowa Medicaid paid for the rest of any treatments. All total, we made 15 trips, 8 hours of driving one way. I think we only stayed over night 3 times. The rest, we'd leave around 10 pm the night before, Gene would drive us out there, sleep during the appt/blocks, and as soon as I was able to leave, we'd come straight back home. My Inlaws also kept the girls when we went.....which was once a week from Feb 2002 until June 2002.

While I was there, I didn't get any kind of pain medication....or any kind of medication. All I got was the blocks....which didn't help. Except for the sneaky stops on the way home when Gene would dare me that we couldn't find an off ramp that no one else would get off of......and oops.....Here comes Petey!!! lol (darn him for betting me!)

Ok. the blocks worked one way I would have to say....hehehe

I have only actually been on pain meds one time longer than a few days. That was when I was pregnant with Petey....From August 2002 until Feb 2003. I was on Tylox. Tylenol and Oxycodone. At the beginning, it worked Great...1-2 every 6 hours. Then, the OB I had upped it to every 4 hours.

Then, for some reason, Not sure why....another OB doctor took her place (at a University Hospital) and switched it to 1 every 8 hours!!! ugh. Believe me....you missed out on A LOT of me whining on here! lol....Petey decided to lay on the right side....hip, nerves, Sciatic nerve....MAJOR PAIN! The RSD is in my right leg, hip, right side of my abdomen.....well, at that time it was only the right side of abdomen. So, him laying on that side sure didn't help none!

2 weeks after I had him, a Resident and Doctor I had never seen before decided that I didn't need the Tylox at all. As of Feb. 27.....I've been without again.

Actually, I'm guessing that if you live South of New York City, than you are about an hour South of Danette? lol.....Heck, I'll tell her tomorrow to check her emails and tell ya herself! She's gonna die laughing at me trying to tell you where she lives!

I do know for a fact ONE thing! Her Post Office was the first one shut down due to the letter that had the Anthrax mailed out of it was at!!!! lol.....pretty bad that I can remember that one.

The first Anthrax Letter Came from Her Post Office.

Does that help in location any?? lol

Ok....I better get before she kills me while she's dying laughing at me! lol
