Cardiovascular Drug Discovery at Bristol-Myers Squibb has the following

position open at our Pennington, NJ campus:

Senior Research Investigator in Cardiovascular Biology (Job number

1102459)

Position Description:

Key responsibilities are to support ongoing drug discovery efforts in

thrombosis/ cardiac/ vascular biology, and to discover and validate

novel cardiovascular targets. The position requires the development of

clinically-relevant animal models that will enhance the evaluation of

novel cardiovascular agents, and the conducting of in vivo studies to

guide structure-activity relationships of novel chemical series in a

drug discovery effort. Excellent hands-on in vivo biology skills, and

knowledge of pharmacology and physiology are required. Preference will

be given to candidates with additional expertise in heart failure or

vessel wall biology.

Position Requirements:

Scientist with degree of MD or PhD with deep scientific knowledge of

cardiovascular disease as evidenced by publications in the scientific

literature. Sustained track record of excellent scientific productivity

and creativity. Preference will be given to candidates with at least two

years of post-doctoral experience. Experience in drug discovery in the

biopharmaceutical industry is a plus. Excellent skills in both written

and oral communications required. Leadership behaviors that foster a

culture of high performing teams are a must have.
