Hi, I was diagnosed w/ RA when I was 24; that was 7 years ago. It's

hard to deal with because your in pain, your tired and you can't keep

up w/ your friends. Don't be concerned w/ taking alot of meds...your

rheumatlogist and you will find a treatment plan that works best for

you. It may take some trial and error to see what medications and

doses that work best for you. It's important to take your

medications, they will help prevent future joint damage. This web

board is great for information and a great support system. If you

Thank you for your nice greeting.yes it is hard. I dont know what to do. Im all

all swollen & my dad wants me to cut down on my prednisome. Im on 1 & half

tablets a day. Do you think its a good idea im kinda worried. Its good to know

that there are people out there that knows how painful it is. thank you again.

Avril, I wouldn't worry about what " dad wants " . He's not in your body and

doesn't understand your pains, obviously. I agree that you should get off

Prednisone if you can, but not at the expense of Quality of Life. I've been

on 10mg per day for almost 20 years and tried to cut back on it. I got down

to 7mg and couldn't stand it any more. So, I'm back to 10mg and doing well

again. Don't mess with what works!
