Guest guest
After waiting for a week for a call from the dr's office, I finally called them today. I was on the verge of filing a grievance with the hmo to be honest - but thought I'd call the office one more time. I had to go through the entire history *again*. After that I just asked to be assigned to a new doctor. The nurse I spoke to was sympathetic. Granted, it's hard to justify the fact that my doctor has not responded to me at all in over a week. So, I see a new rheumy next week (they definitely got me on the calendar quickly which surprised me). I'm still not on any dmards and relying on percocet daily but I hope we can resolve that soon. Guest guest
I'm so glad that they are getting you into a new rheumatologist! Hopefully, this one will respond more quickly to problems and will definitely be more aggressive at getting you on a DMARD, or some medication to help you! I feel so badly for those that have to wait so long to hear from their doctors. I'm honestly always amazed that mine calls me sometimes before I even get home from my appointment. It takes me 2.5 to 3 hours to get home. The clinic I go to sees hundreds of patients each day. When I have to phone with a question or a problem a nurse will sometimes usually phone me first, but the doctor will then phone me herself personally. She even called me from her home one evening. I wish they were all like this! And I hope your new one is!! just call me Sheba <queen_o_sheba@...> wrote: After waiting for a week for a call from the dr's office, I finally called them today.
