I believe that organic is not necessarily more nutritious, but I buy as much

organic produce as possible b/c it has less pesticides and is GMO free.

Can anyone tell me where I can find evidence that organic food is more

nutritious than conventional? (particularly fruits/vegetables)

Thank you in advance.

Exactly.

Organic food is not more nutricious. Nutritional value is the same (check JADA

for position paper on organic foods) as conventional but it is the pesticides

and hormons and antibiotics taht are eliminated in the organic foods. However,

keep in mind that organic milk, for example, has more (!) hormons then

non-organic, naturally so. yet all milks in the market are tested for hormons

levels by USDA, to ensure they dont excede limitations.

In some cases, organic food may contain more minerals like PO4 and Mg, which

could be a problem for a renal pt.
