Guest guest
Hi all, Have a 2 part question. For several months now, I have been experiences leg pain that only occurs when I'm resting. Last night it was so bad that I couldn't sleep. It changes from shallow to deep, aching to sharp, etc. Only 1 leg. I started taking some Hydrocodone and it gives me insomnia. Arggggggg Any ideas? Guest guest
Hi Phyllis, I'm sorry you're experiencing this discomfort! My body turns into a voodoo doll at night. Even if my day was relatively pain free, I frequently have nights where I feel like I'm being jabbed with needles or hot pokers. The pains come out of nowhere, are sudden, and affect random parts - my hands, feet, legs, etc. Like you, the pains differ all the time. It's very strange and I've just attributed it to the RA. I haven't found a truly satisfactory solution either. The best thing I've found is pain killers and sleep meds. Sometimes a hot shower helps too. I also sometimes have a soothing herbal tea. It just kind of relaxes me a bit and helps me deal with it a bit more. Kim > > Hi all, > > Have a 2 part question. Guest guest
I have that sort of leg pain too. My whole left leg will ache so bad I have to use my hands or other leg just to turn it over or move it. I dont like Vicodin so I dont bother with it. I just deal with it cuz nothin seems to help. I'm hoping my hubby buys me a hot tub. But my doc is sending me to the surgeon. Hope it helps. > > Hi all, > > Have a 2 part question. Guest guest
I have found that rubbing Tiger Balm which you can get at Walgreens or Wild Tiger which you can get at the Dollar Store, OR heating up olive oil and rubbing it on my knees does ease the pain some. I was hoping for a hot tub too but hubby bought an above ground pool. Not ungrateful as it does help as I can do water exercises but a hot tub sure would have been real nice. Maybe this year Peace and fabulous smellies! Katrina
Guest guest
I'm not entirely sure what is causing it, but I'm having it bilaterally, from my rear on down. At least I don't think mine is restless leg....it seems to be more cramping and pain than needing to move them. Phyllis <mammap@...> wrote: Hi all, Have a 2 part question. Guest guest
I too, have pretty bad leg pain. It usually occurs at night. Most of the time it helps if somebody massages my legs. My doctor (RA) didn't think it had anything to do with RA, so I saw my regular doctor and she thought it could be varicose veins..now I wear support pantyhose, this seems to help, but there are nights were they still hurt. Did your doctor tell you it had to do with RA? Hope I can help, <sugafreak21@...> wrote: I have that sort of leg pain too.
