Call for Applications Background: Strengthening the capacity of People Living with HIV (PLHIV) has assumed significant importance in light of the need for promotion of greater involvement of PLHIV in response to HIV. PLHIV’s involvement is vital not only in public speaking, counseling and service delivery, but also in policy formulation, advocacy for effective implementation and monitoring of programmes/schemes, and negotiations with decision makers. In order to facilitate and ensure PLHIV’s involvement in all these processes, Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB) in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has designed a “Certificate Programme in Leadership and Managerial Proficiency (LAMP) .” A brief description of the programme is given below. Focus: The Certificate programme will focus on the following: Competencies required to build the personal capacity of PLHIV Competencies required to sharpen the professional knowledge and skills of PLHIV Target Group: This programme is offered only to the PLHIV. Duration: The programme is of 6 week duration comprising of 4 weeks of classroom learning and 2 weeks of field learning. Programme Venue: The programme is residential and will be held at the Management Development Centre, Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar. Design: The course is designed at two levels: Level A – for leaders at the state and national level or those aspring to be; and Level B – for leaders at the state and district levels. There will be one batch of Level A and three batches of Level B. Each batch will comprise of 25 candidates. The modules for each level are given below. Sl.
