JOB SUMMARY:

Enthusiastic, junior level nutrition science communicator with strong

knowledge in physiology, human metabolism, body composition and clinical

research. This person will have excellent communication skills, orally

and written and must be able to translate nutrition knowledge in macro-

and micro-nutrient metabolism and apply to specific physiological

questions and write to a range of audiences. This person shall have a

fundamental understanding of nutritional related clinical studies,

statistics and critically evaluate published literature; be able to

communicate to range of audiences.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

Under the direction of Dr. Rockway:

a) This person shall work with communicating nutrition and science

areas to internal members, associates and to health professionals

Keep up-to-date in novel functional foods, nutrition and

diet-related research

c) Help keep up-to-date on weight management studies and critically

evaluate literature in areas related to company goals

d) Help Innovation team with Rationales behind ingredients and new

product development

e) Help maintain Reference Manager Database with science articles

on product ingredients

f) Help Director and Manager in writing structure/function claims

on products

g) Help director and manager in writing articles/brochures/White

Papers on scientifically relevant topics to help customers understand

product impact on health

h) Keep up-to-date on Regulatory issues for food and dietary

supplement

QUALIFICATIONS:

a) Masters or Ph.D. level in either, Clinical Nutrition,

Nutritional Biochemistry, Sports Nutrition, Kinesiology or advanced

Dietetics with keen desire to help people.

Preferably MS, RD or Ph.D. with experience in dietary supplement

field.

c) Ability to multitask and follow through on the completion of

assigned tasks

d) Excel in communication and writing skills; good knowledge using

Microsoft Office (power point, excel and word)

e) Sound analytical skills and the desire to learn and contribute

to team efforts
