Guest guest
Hi Judy: It sounds like a nodule, and I have one on the outside of my right foot, at the arch. If so, it is very painful indeed. I went to a foot dr., he x-rayed my foot, and that's what it was. He ordered two sets of inserts for my shoes, plus gave me a list of 5 brands of sneakers that would be better for my feet, and for comfort and stability. Plus, he told me to remove the shoes inserts, and put a pair of the new ones in its place. He also had me order 1 size larger that I normally wear, and instead of walking or cross trainers, he told me to buy running shoes. This has made a big diff. to my feet for the better. Both pairs of inserts are wonderful, but when my feet are so bad, and that nodule is killing me, I use the softer inserts. I hope this info. helps you.. I was so glad my Rheumy sent me to this dr. I sure hope your feet feel better soon. I care. Barbara [ ] Nodule on foot? I think I may have my first nodule. I have a Dr.. appointment in a couple of weeks, but thought I would get input here. On the outer side of my foot (the widest part, right next to the little toe), I have a bump. It is not a corn! My shoes rub it, & it is quite painful to the touch. I had my husband look @ it, because i can't see it. He said there is a dot in the middle, & he can feel it. Does this sound typical of a nodule? I don't know what else it could be! Thanks for any info. ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Guest guest
Judy, Great minds, err... toes, must think alike. I went to the website to look if anyone else was had trouble with bunions. I have bunions started on both my big and little toe joints. The bunion (or bunionette or tailor's bunion) on my right little toe looks a bit like a nodule. It almost looks like a new toe is forming. My Rheumy said it was a bunion. Yes, it hurts like heck sometimes, but my toes are messied up already. So I have to stop and really think about what is causing the pain in my feet. There are pads, gel inserts, and recommendation not to wear narrow shoes, all that will help your feet/toe feel better.
Guest guest
Hi, I have a bunion on my left big toe. My rheumatologist sent me to orthopedics and I now wear special shoes (ugh) and inserts designed just for me (I'm very special). At first I wanted to cry. Then I walked across a parking lot and a street wearing my old shoes so that I would look a little nice while going out to eat. I had to walk slowly and it was still painful. Now I wear my special shoes and inserts all the time. it helps that there's more selection these days. ez --------------------------------- Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile.
