I believe that dairy is transported thru breast milk. If mother eliminates dairy

from her diet, baby may  get less colicky

Thank you for the comments! To correct my initial request, the mom is

lacto-ovo vegetarian and nursing her 3.5 month old infant. The baby has

significant colicky behavior. I am trying to find out more details from her

(as she only emailed me) regarding what the Pediatrician has said, etc.

I hope the Pediatrician talked to this mother about colic and that it goes away

on it's own as the baby matures. I bet cavemen had colicky babies. Sounds like

this is the first child with no close family support.

> Also isn't a definition of a colic ky baby one who cries more than 3 hrs and

mostly at night. I once read a book that suggested the parents keep a cry/sleep

diary for a week and most found out that the baby did not cry as much as they

thought and slept more than they thought.
