Guest guest
I believe that dairy is transported thru breast milk. If mother eliminates dairy from her diet, baby may get less colicky To: rd-usa Sent: Tuesday, September 20, 2011 8:13 AM Subject: Re: Vegan needs help with colicky infant  Thank you for the comments! To correct my initial request, the mom is lacto-ovo vegetarian and nursing her 3.5 month old infant. The baby has significant colicky behavior. I am trying to find out more details from her (as she only emailed me) regarding what the Pediatrician has said, etc. Thanks again! Guest guest
I hope the Pediatrician talked to this mother about colic and that it goes away on it's own as the baby matures. I bet cavemen had colicky babies. Sounds like this is the first child with no close family support. Jackie Chase RD Dillingham AK > Also isn't a definition of a colic ky baby one who cries more than 3 hrs and mostly at night. I once read a book that suggested the parents keep a cry/sleep diary for a week and most found out that the baby did not cry as much as they thought and slept more than they thought. > > > To: " rd-usa " <rd-usa > > Sent: Tuesday, September 20, 2011 9:53 AM > Subject: Re: Re: Vegan needs help with colicky infant > > > > > >
