Yet it helped and now I am in a lot of pain really bad pain and I wanted to know is it really that bad that the risk is too much and now the best health thing for me to do is not take it at all? Otherwise I am 32 years old and am healthy in all other aspects besides the ra. I just cant take all this pain and I cant sleep well I lay awake in pain every night and it is not cool. Yet I do not want to develop heart problems, which choice is best. ------------------------------------
Guest guest
Hi Bonnie, Celebrex is one of the first meds I was put on for RA, along with Plaquenil and Glucosamine. I've been taking it for 8 years now with no problems. My RA doctor told me he there wasn't any risk involved in just taking 1 200 mg dose per day. He said no matter how much pain I'm in to never take more than 1 pill a day. I don't have any heart problems other than a slower than normal heart beat. My RA doctor has a strong Russian accent and sometimes I couldn't understand everything he said. I couldn't get a appointment with him when I had to reschedule an appointment so I had to see his PA. After that they starting scheduling all my appointments with his PA. I complained about having increased pain in my hands and he told me to take 2 Celebrex a day. I told him my RA doctor told me to never do that under any circumstances. He said that is what I'm telling you do if you want to decrease the pain. But I didn't ever take more 1 a day. I've been thinking about changing back to my regular RA doctor or changing to another doctor. I hope this helps.
