I don't know about vitamin C, but my family's cure (at least for 4 generations)

for canker sores is to pack the site with brown sugar and let it sit on the sour

until it dissolves (trying not to let it dissolve to quickly.) I assume it's

the osmotic effect that dries out the sore. It's not instantaneous, but it

works every time.

Recurring aphthous ulcers or canker sores can be a symptom of celiac disease.

Prior to being diagnosed with celiac I used to get canker sores frequently.

I just heard this from a nurse I work with....her dentist told her to take

Vitamin C?

Is it actually a cold sore or canker sore - cold sores can be caused by

herpes simplex type 1(fever blister). Canker sores are usually inside the

mouth while cold sores outside the mouth (contagious).

They are canker sores inside her mouth. Dentist said it is caused by being out

in the sun alot and to take Vit C???

Someone mentioned the celiac disease correlation with canker sores.   Food

sensitivities also cause canker sores.
