I am a nurse and I only wear New Balance. Once I found them I cannot work

inanything else. My feet don't hurt until I take them off.You can get them

at Kohl's too for a good price but they are worth it.

My uncle that is crippled and very deformed with RA wears New Balance those are

the only shoes he wears. I have other friends with FMS that wear them too.

They seem to be highly recommended by podiatrists, rheumatologists and Arthritis

Today magazine! I am so glad they are helping! $38 seems quite a good deal

since some of the Nike and other brands for a very basic sneaker seems to be $60

and higher. I'm checking out some New Balance myself. I'd like some that tie

up, and then some of the ones that you can just slip on. Thank you for the info

I am excited to shop for mine now

I've been fighting the painful shoe problem for several years, and

unfortunately the New Balance shoes that I have don't really help me.

I have 4 pair right now - feel great when I first put them on, but it

feels like my feet swell with time and I have to loosen them then take

them off. Maybe I have the wrong style? Any advice on which styles

are best? Should I buy larger than the size I measure for? What's the

secret?

Thanks,

Roselyn,

I always try to buy my shoes when my feet are swollen.

I tighten them up when they are not.

I will try to find the new balance. They sound great.

I purchased some new balance shoes which slip on like slippers, no

laces which help when your hands are swollen. These shoes look like

running shoes, but slide on and off with ease. They are very

comfortable and come in wide sizes. They are new balance 801, around

$59.00. They have them in mens and womens.

I have used alot of New Balance shoes over the past several years and have

been mostly happy with them. I have worn the 926 series of shoes quite a

bit. It is a good solid walking shoe:

http://www.nbwebexpress.com/newbalanceMW926WT.htm

My only complaint about it is that it is a walking shoe, so the sole is very

inflexiable, when I am feeling up to it and walking more, I find a running

shoe that has a flexiable sole to it, far more comfortable.

One thing you should always always check is the width of your shoes when you

buy them. The new balance store messed up and sold me one wide and one

regular size shoe. The difference in width is not visably noticable, even

the store could not tell without looking at the tags, however the tags

quickly wore down and I could not tell the sizes.

I started to develope

Sorry my dog hit a key.

Long story short, I was sold shoes of 2 different widths, being told

they were both the regular width. One was a wide size, I didn't

realize it was wide untill several months went by wearing the shoes.

My foot developed pain on the right side that still hasn't gone away.

My Point, Double check not only the size of the shoe you get, but the

width, and check the tags in each shoe, not just the box.

Hi Roselyn:

I went to the foot dr., he examed and x-rayed my feet, etc.  He told me to buy a

pair of running shoes, not walkers or cross-trainers.  Running shoes have the

best support, etc.  He gave me 5 top brands to pick from.  Reebok, Nike, New

Balance, Sauconey, and one other I forgot.  I got the best ones at Reebok, and

they are fantastic.   He also ordered me new inserts for my new shoes.  One pair

reg., and one pair when my feet were bad with RA.  Also, he had me buy shoes 1

size larger, take out the inserts, and put the new ones he got me in its place.

My feet are very happy!  I also hit a sale at Reebok, buy 2, get 1 free, plus

all their shoes were on sale. I ended up getting 3 pairs for $99.00.  I really

didn't care what they cost, as my feet were in so much pain.  I just hit it

lucky that day.  Do you have any Reebok stores or outlets near you?

I hope this helps you.  Wishing you a pain free day, we all care about you.

Hugs,

Barbara

I wear New Balance walking shoes with orthotic inserts every day. Most

of the time they are comfortable. But now my feet are very tired from

doing all my trash and other chores this afternoon. Do like Ryka shoes

too, which are made for women mostly.
