Guest guest
Hi Everyone! Just wanted you to know that I have had horrific pain and swelling that started in my right foot over a year ago. I have been to two podiatrists, an orthopedic, a rheumy in May that said I didn't have RA, and changed my primary dr twice. I have had two MRI's and countless xrays. The swelling finally traveled to my right knee and both wrists at the beginning of Dec. Had to sleep on the couch because I couldn't do steps. Woke up to take 3 advil at 4 am, so that I could walk to the bathroom by 6 am. Well, my SED rates were extremely high, so my primary sent me back to the rheumy. I am now on prednisone and MTX. Along with Folic acid, and still the 3 advil 3x per day. This flare lasted a month! The terrible pain is almost gone, but now the joints are really sore! I Thank God for this wonderful group! I might have started thinking that this was all in my head if I didn't have your posts to read! I don't go back to the rheumy until 1/25. In addition to all the blood work, he did a special test to find out exactly what kind of RA this is. If you know that something is wrong, and you are not feeling right, it is important to be persistant! If you don't think your primary dr is listening, FIND ANOTHER ONE! If you are in pain, SPEAK UP! DON'T EVER GIVE UP! IT IS YOUR BODY, AND YOUR LIFE! F., Chicago, IL
