Guest guest
> He did suggest that he may try gold tablets or > injections. Has any body been treated with this and have they had any > relief? Maree, I was treated with gold tablets and injections many years ago. The gold tablets didn't help my psoriatic/rheumatoid arthritis at all, but the injections worked well. I was on the treatment for three years or so, then it stopped working. But I did get relief along the way. Good luck, BeingIrish
Guest guest
This is serious. Call your doctor now. The Mobic is probably the cause but you need treatment immediately. Guest guest
, Mobic is an anti inflammatory used to treat arthritis and for mild pain control. Sounds like you need to talk to Dr about maybe an anti depressant to help you out. Sometimes it just takes a little for the short term. How often are you taking the Morphine, is it the sustained release type? I know a couple that take it 3 times a day with fast acting morphine for break through pain. Sandie -- mobic has anyone tried mobic for fibromyalgia i have severe osteoarthritis and they change me from diclofenac to mobic if anyone knows of this drug please tell me. i have been really bad this week and i was thinking bad things on what to do to myself. I hate this pain. I am on 60 mg of morphine apparently not enough I guess "Flea Dog" Made by Ada 's Doodles font is Comic Sans
Guest guest
Hi , I was on Mobic for about six months following a back injury. I did notice that it helped a little bit with the fibro, except in the end it started giving me gastric problems, and my doctor put me on Aciphex just so I could continue on the Mobic, which didn't seem right to me, and I ended up (slowly) going off of each one. But then again, as we all know, everyone's experience with medications varies. And also, you never know which one will be right for you. Guest guest
I started taking this Monday. I felt good yesterday. My hands only hurt if I tried to open things etc. I went back to my low impact exercise routine and then I worked 3-11. Still my hands and feet are not too bad. I have been having sharp pains in my stomach, it may be from all the aleve and motrinI took last week though. Today I feel awful, sore throat headache malaise. I just want to go back to bed! I really wanted to feel better and now a cold!
Guest guest
Hi - I LOVE my Mobic and I'd bite anybody that tried to take it from me. I had to go off of it before I had 2 surgeries in 3 days last week. I know how well it works now more than ever. Just bear in mind that they have to list all possible side effects that arose from their studies of the drug. Sure doesn't mean that you will have to deal with any of them. I have experienced zero side effects and have been on it for about 9 months now. Attacking the RA at the inflammation level instead of taking mega pain meds to deal with it's affects sounds better to me. Gentle hugs-- in SC Hi , > > Have any of you had any experience with Mobic, just looking at the list of side > affects makes me gulp! Guest guest
I'm with you chris on the mobic. It is one that works for me with no side effects. I would rather take just enough to keep me relatively comfortable and stop the growth of this disease. I feel if I start with the big drugs I might form immunities too early. Guest guest
Carol- I'm glad you agree on the Mobic, but I disagree with you on the 'big drugs'. They are what can keep you from losing use of your body too early. I am on MTX as well and will be starting Enbrel soon as I get back to the Rheumy. I'd rather feel great for less years than feel like crap for a long time waiting for some future time while my joints deteriorate. I have to ask myself- " What exactly am I waiting FOR? " 'Cause I sure as heck ain't gettin' any younger. Neither are my joints. Once the damage is done, it's done and no drug can bring them back. Just my 2 cents-- in SC I'm with you chris on the mobic. It is one that works for me with no side effects. I would rather take just enough to keep me relatively comfortable and stop the growth of this disease. Guest guest
I never thought of it that way. I am on plaquenil and tramadol and of course the mobic but thats it as far as RA drugs. I really have never thought of it that way and what you say makes a whole lot of sense. Thank you for making me think this through again. I have only been RA positive for over a year so I am still learning. Carol
