Guest guest
Omega-3 is supposed to help fight inflammation. Personally, I have found that it does have a mild effect so I continue to take it. I did talk to my rheumy to clear it with him. > > has any one used fish oil for ra.can you take it with other meds.any info will be > appreciated > > thank you > ann > > > --------------------------------- > Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Guest guest
I'm sorry, I missed most of the discussion on fish oil tablets - had a bad weekend, was offline most of the time. I know it is supposed to work for some with RA, but does it help those with Fibromyalgia as well? Guest guest
I am not sure which of us you directed your question to but I know I had made a mistake in saying IU's but mine are mg. D. Hi ; Sorry Yes I think it was inresponse to your message that I was writing. Do you take 10,000mg a day of fish oil? Do you know how much of that is omega 3? Does your rhemy approve of that dose? My rheumy seemed a bit iffy when I was talking about doses around 5,000mg.
Guest guest
Hey , Yes, I take 10,000 mg a day. I began taking it per my PCP for cholerstal @ 3,000 a day but my ra doc said that a lot of his patients have seen results at a higher dose. He approved the 10,000 a day and it helps (except for cold fronts....hehehehehe!) I don't have any problems at all as long as I break it down to 3 or 4 times a day. They are so big I don't think I could swallow that many at one time anyway! Plus I could get the burps which thanks, but no thanks....got enough problems without adding that! HA! Some RA docs may not go for that amount but hey, it works for me. Good Luck! mie Dolan <jamiedolan@...> wrote: > I am not sure which of us you directed your question to but I know I had > made a mistake in saying IU's but mine are mg. > D.
