Its the generic version of Plaquenil. Mine took 6 to 8 months to build up in my

system to work. My doctor made me get an exam of my retina before she would let

me start it. It can cause severe issues and retinal toxicity. Once I had my

baseline done, she let me begin taking the medication. I have to go every six

months to have that monitored.

the meds she gave me was vit d 50000 iu, to take one 2 times a week for

4 weeks then once a week after that, also i had to get on calcium.

the other was hydroxychloroquine 200 mgs times a day....i have to look

this one up, i have never given it or worked with it before.... any one

take this before? is this a normal first try drug???

it was an ok visit, just wish i felt better already....i was hoping the

prednisone would work miricles (it helped some)
