Guest guest
You can see if you have a s, or a AC in your area. Both are craft stores, and have craft classes. Also, you can check the bulletin board where you food shop. Sometimes people advertise craft classes. Also, some churches offer craft classes, also, fairs, craft shows is also a good place to see if anyone offers beginning classes. Your Yellow Pages can list fabric shops, yarn shops, just call and see what they offer for classes. I hope this helps you, and I wish you good luck in your search. Have a good night. Barbara [ ] OT-Crafts Sorry this is off topic. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of places that offer craft classes? I live in a very small area. I looked in the yellow pages today and couldn't find anything. I thought that Joann Fabric's might offer some sort of classes, I can't even sew a button on and am not very crafty. My CBT doctor wants me to take a class so that I can get out in a group setting and am not so isolated. I didn't know if any of you that do crafts would have any ideas of places to look. Thanks so much:) ------------ --------- --------- --- Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Try it now.

I will be looking forward to hearing how you make out. Good luck, and I hope you have good days with no pain. Barbara [ ] OT-Crafts Sorry this is off topic. Guest guest
joannes also has craft and art classes. You might check if you have a community recreation center nearby. Our local one offers many different art, craft and exercise classes (water aerobics is one of them that caters to low impact needs). I know it is hard to get up and out but I always feel much better when I have something that I have to be up and about doing. When I don;t have much going it takes me much longer to limber up the joints (as much as they limber up)because I have a tendency to sit around and not move as much. I just have to be careful not to overplan and tire myself out. I have always been very active and I'm fighting to stay that way. I focus a lot less on the pain when I'm doing things that I enjoy than when I'm just sitting at home focusing on how bad I feel. Hope you find something that you really enjoy doing. linda stephanie <stephieann2@...> wrote: Thank you so very much Barbara! That's great advice! Guest guest
> > Sorry this is off topic. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of places that offer craft classes? Yes, Joann's offers classes, but only at their " superstore " locations, the big stores that have classrooms. I work for them and I'll tell you that it can be sort of pricy. Check with any local libraries or park districts for possible classes - those are usually free or minimal price. Sometimes a locl community college will have inexpensive extension classes in some crafts. Do you have a particular craft that you are interested in? Many crafts have orinizations with national registers you can tap into online...quilting, sewing, etc. Hard to guide you further without knowing what you might be interested in
Guest guest
I'm not sure where you are located, but in Lafayette, IN there is a pottery store where you can go in with your pet and make pottery with their paw prints in it. You can also just go in by yourself and make pottery. Maybe a store near you does this as well. The store in Lafayette is locally owned, not a chain. Maybe you can join a group that has information about your community. ~Autumn
Guest guest
You could always take up cross-stitch. It's something that is very easy, relaxing, and you can teach yourself. It is also inexpensive. You could buy a premade kit from either a JoAnn's or a s. There are always directions in there to get you started. I'm always available, so you could e-mail me with any questions you would have. Check out the links in the signature line to see some of what I've stitched if your curious. Guest guest
, Just for fun I did a google search with the words: Michigan art and craft workshops classes and came up with several listings in your state. It's worth a look at. HUGZ, PeggyH
