have you tried a store called naturalizer they make shoes especially for people

with feet issues. Some of them are quite nice and don't look like something

your grandmother would wear.

I have viral polyarthritis, which affects my knees. I am mobile, for

short distances, and if I don't stand for more than a minute.

Currently, I wear flat s clogs. Very comfortable, and they don't

strain my knees. Problem is, I am a pediatric nurse practitioner - I

need to have fashionable shoes! Can't wear any type of pointed heel,

and the shoe has to have good support for flat feet.

Since my diagnosis, and some imrpovement with medications, I've focused

on adding some skirts and cute things to my wardrobe - also to disguise

the poor muscle condition and looser flesh of a low physical activity

lifestyle. This may seem a trivial thing, when we look at how many of

us are dealing with hourly struggles with pain or immobility, but a

good source for 'girly' things can help the spirits of some of us!

Hi there!

Have you tried Dansko's? They're great support and they're cute too.

They're sort of expensive but they have several different styles

like mary janes, etc.

Hope this hepls!

I have to wear flats and have a couple of pair of Born shoes that I

wear, one are cute mary janes with lil tear drop cutouts on the vamp,

and another are like moccasins, for pants. WAY comfy and wear like

iron! they polish up real good too. they are kinda high but a good

investment. One of the things I mourn the most from my healthy

skinny girly days is wearing spike heels. And a size 8 black leather

mini skirt.....yeah.
