Guest guest
Hi ...I was on Enbrel years ago and had some swelling in my feet and legs. Have you checked with your rheumy? I ended up going off Enbrel as it turned out not to be helpful for me, but I never knew why the swelling occurred. I do hope you will check with your dr. Also, I have Bipolar II which is well controlled with Lamictal. But even so, stress and illness can make that 'flare' as well. I hope you can get some answers and support, . Hope always... Cheryle -------------- Original message -------------- From: " triviaplace " <renandstimpy3@...> the swelling in my feet is rearing its ugly head again. I have been on enbrel for 5 weeks and didn't have the swelling before hand. Heck, now I can barely get out of bed in the morning. What used to take me 30 mins to get out of bed is now taking me like 45 mins to an hour. Sucks. I have a high demanding job and people rely on me every day. My 2 children rely on me everyday. My boyfriend who is visually impaired, ie: blind relies on my everyday. I'm sick of all the suffering I have gone through with this disease. Why me? Why now, why why why. I'm sorry I needed to rant. It actually felt good. I'm glad there are others out there going through the same issues. I'm happy that I have others that I can relate to. My boyfriend doesn't seem to understand it all. Even though he goes to the doctors with me and asks questions it doesn't seem like he understands. I live with RA and live with Bipolar on top of it. It makes it difficult to handle some days. Guest guest
Dear , I think we have all asked WHY at some point in our lives. I'm so glad that you can come to the group and feel like you can vent. We all have our burdens to bear and it seems like you have quite a few. I'm so sorry you got this disease at a young age before your children were grown. I don't know how serious you are with your boyfriend but if not, you would be better off leaving him. That would take care of one obstacle. But if you truly do love each other then that is a choice you have made for life. I don't understand why these men go to the DR with you and not understand what they are saying. That is one thing my husband does do and he asks more questions than I do. That I am so thankful for. Your high demanding job is causing you a lot of stress and that is not helping you either. I just read " The Spoon Theory " and maybe you can read that to your boyfriend and also to your 2 children. I thought it was a great read and the author was young like you. please don't ever be sorry for venting to us in this group because that is what we are here for. I truly do care and I will be praying for you to make the right choices and for your swelling. Take tender gentle care of yourself and rest as much as you can. Sending tender gentle hugs and fervent prayers. Bonnie To the world you may be one person, to one person you may be the world!
