Bile salts can be very helpful in patients after cholecystectomy.   I use

Cholacol by Standard Process.   Dose depends on amount of fat in diet and can

vary from patient to patient.

I have a client with moderate to severe gi upset that has occurred after her

gall bladder surgery. Altho most food tolerance is trial and error, I have

recommended smaller more frequent meals and snacks, addition of chamomile tea,

limit of caffeine, increase in dietary fiber, possibly try culturelle.  What

would you recommend?

Thanks!
