Sue,

Thanks a lot for your message. They confirmed it as Polyarthiritis. I am not

exactly sure whether it is inflammatory or not?

Her symptoms as below, I also attached a complete profile.

Questions:

1. What is the difference between Inflammatory Polyarthiritis and ordinary

polyarthirits?

2. Based on her symptoms, what do you feel whether it is Inflammatory

Polyarthiritis and ordinary polyarthirits?

3. What are the tests to confirm Inflammatory Polyarthiritis?

4. Is this a life long disease ? or if it will be cured in a few weeks?

5. She is currently in India and suffering from 4 months to tilldate?

6. Please enlighten me with more information.

Current Symptoms/Problems:

Important Pattern: Right side of the body is the first to get the pain. For

e.g : Right leg Knee joint, Right Shoulder joint, Right hand wrist joint, Right

hand joint are the first to have pain. The pain later starts in the left side of

the corresponding parts.

She is currently not in a position to walk. Especially, she cannot bend or

straighten her legs. She has pains all over the body especially unexplained bone

joint pains. Right side joints are significantly more painful than their

counterparts (the left side joints). Right side leg finger joint (left most

finger or fat finger joint) is paining a lot.

Reports show that the kidneys are already dysfunctioning based on reports.

Extreme Leg joints pains means " if one stands straight and keep legs close

together the place where left leg touches the right leg " - the pain is on the

curvature of both the legs. As a thumb rule, the right leg join pain is

comparatively more than the left leg join pain.

Raju,

If your mother has an inflammatory arthritis, a supplement like

Lubrijoint will probably do little good. She needs to be on a DMARD

such as methotrexate in order to halt the progression of the disease

and to prevent joint damage.

When she has her appointment with Dr. Gurunath, maybe he will prescribe

a DMARD.

Hopefully, will find some pertinent articles for you. I'm sorry

that your mother is having such a hard time.

Shiva,

How is your mother doing these days? Does she have a diagnosis yet? I

don't feel that we were very much help to you. I know it must be hard

with her in India and you in the US, if I remember correctly.

I hope that she is getting some relief.
