Guest guest
I awoke early yesterday am with terrible pain in foot/ankle. Any movement would send shocking waves through my body. I was able to get in and see an ARNP in my family physicians office. She was able to get me into a podiatrist that day. The podiatrist dx me with tendonitis. I have to keep my foot elevated, iced periodically through out the day and not work for 48 hours to begin with. I am not allowed to walk barefooted or with slippers. I have to wear a good support shoe (my tennis shoes were fine according to the podiatrist) when up on my feet. I have to say that things are a little better today. I will attempt to work tomorrow. I am an office nurse so will be on my feet a fair amount of the time. I am just going to keep up with the icing and elevation today. Guest guest
thanks diane, i do that when i don't have a flare, to keep the tendons more flexible.that is a good exercise i got from my podiatrist. interesting that your friend has no autoimmune process going on but still has fascitis, because my podiatrist said fascitis can goe along with all autoimmune conditions because " ...itis " means inflammation. maybe your friend just hasn't had the right bloodwork checked yet, interesting. take care, margaret > > my friend had planter fascitis without any autoimmune disease..his docter told him take a tennis ball, roll your bottom of your foot with it..it helped him... > > diane in ohio >

Guest guest
Hi Margaret: The foot bath is a square plastic container, with vibrations on the bottom of your feet. It feels so good to sore feet. I always add Epsom salts as that is very soothing also. I make the water as hot as I can stand, put my feet in, and just enjoy. The water I add is about ankle high. I bought mine in a resale store for about $5.00, and glad I have it. I am sorry to read you have tendonitis on your foot. You must be in agony. I don't know which one is worse, as they are so very painful. Wishing you pain free days ahead. Take care. You must be off your feet like me. I am part of the couch now.
