Guest guest
Colleen: I hope that the Humira works well for Caitlin and that she does wonderfully. Best wishes, good luck, many prayers. and Rob 15 Spondy On Mon, 09 Aug 2004 20:21:44 -0000 " bookissmom " <bookissmom@...> writes: Hi all- Caitlin started Humira on Thursday. We saw the doc last Tuesday and the cytoxan (in addition to the other meds) is still not controlling the arthritis. For those that don't know us from the conference - we've tried the other biologics. Hopefully, this one will work for her! We had no problems getting the prescription filled. She was naturally reluctant to go back to injections after being free from them for nine months.... but it was admittedly much easier than the Remicade infusion (she had sever allergic reactions). Anyway, please keep your fingers crossed! Thanks- Colleen (mom to Caitlin, 6, systemic)

Guest guest
Colleen, Fingers, toes, arms and legs crossed that Cailtlin responds well to the Humira.Hearing your story at AJAO was so sad and to hear with all the drugs her SED was still around 100.I pray this does the trick and if not I hope MRA studies start in the US soon.I did learn that if you make it to phase 2 and you get placebo as soon as your child flares they get the real drug again. Much love and prayers Becki and 6systemic
Guest guest
Colleen, Oh how we all hope that Humira is Caitlin's miracle. Is this part of an unofficial " study " that will be well documented for systemic jra and shared through the CARRA network, hopefully? If my Hunter were in Caitlin's condition, I'd be doing the same thing as you and exhausting every possible path, regardless of unknown long term side effects. It is here and now that matters or there may be no long term side effects to worry about. We are praying for your family!
