Guest guest
We have touched on this before and I just wanted to check w/ everyone since you all have been supportive and knowledgeable. I had a vaginal ultrasound done since my PCP had trouble w/ my pap. I have PCOS and endometriosis and during the ultrasound, the tech said that I have " two large tumors " in my uterus. She said by the shape, that they are begnin fibroids. They immediately scheduled me an appointment on Monday w/ an OB/GYN. (If they are begnin...why the urgent appointment!?!?). I did some research on fibroids and that they are the reason for 30% of hysterectomies. There are other surgical treatment options besides a hysterectomy, but after the last surgery to correct my endometriosis and cystectomy almost cost me my life...I am a little apprehensive. (I didn't have fibroids 2 years ago when I had my cystectomies and endometrial ablation). I have rheumatoid nodules on my lungs and elbows, could the fibroids be RA related? I have had difficulty getting pregnant before (why I had the cystectomy and ablation), the fibroids could be another reason. Should I still have a small glimer of hope that I could get pregnant? I have a great deal of scar tissue from my previous surgeries and a large umbilical hernia from it. I don't think my abdomen can handle a pregnancy. I guess what I am wondering is if anyone else out there has had fibroids and if they can be RA related.
Guest guest
My cousin who is 24 and doesn't have any health issues had severe fibroids they found after she gave birth...she had severe hemorraging, I cannot recall if that was why they had to remove them so suddenly. I've had some other family members that have them as well, but they do not have RA or any type of autoimmune issues. <man_u8@...> wrote: We have touched on this before and I just wanted to check w/ everyone since you all have been supportive and knowledgeable.
