Guest guest
So MANY people are getting Lyme Disease and it's highly underdiagnosed as Fibromyalgia or other health concerns. As you may know, I was diagnosed with it when I lived in NJ, outside Philadelphia, in the mid 90's, based on symptoms and living in an area where it was common, with all blood tests being negative, except the final one in about 1997 was slightly positive, but below " norms for diagnosis. " Thankfully, I found a Lyme Specialist that treated me with antibiotics as needed (off and on for approx. 7 years) and I've not had a return of any symptoms for nearly 9 years now. And, thankfully, my treatment started just 3 months after symptoms started. (Multiple neighbors had been diagnosed, one of my dogs was diagnosed/treated twice, the other never got it -- even though they were together 24/7 - he had a lot thicker hair.) Anyway, yesterday, Aug 2, I found the 2008 movie, " Under Our Skin: A Health Care Nightmare " was on my local PBS station. I highly recommend everybody look for it locally and watch it. Infected mothers can miscarry or cause a death of baby at birth or seizures, growth delays, learning delays, etc due to Lyme Disease. If not caught/treated, it can cause permanent arthritis and disability and brain damage. It's real and it's serious and it's in epidemic numbers. While visiting in Central/North Central Minnesota for 10 days this summer, I had TWO FAMILY members diagnosed with Lyme Disease. (Thankfully, both were caught within days of the initial tick bite with antibiotics started immediately.) It's been diagnosed in every state. _http://module.lymediseaseassociation.net/Maps/_ (http://module.lymediseaseassociation.net/Maps/) Be well! Guest guest
I had it also and was quickly put on $3 antibiotics. No problems!!! My fear is all the scammers out there pushing ridiculous and expensive " cures " when there are many doubts of Lyme disease even existing. > ** > > > So MANY people are getting Lyme Disease and it's highly underdiagnosed as > Fibromyalgia or other health concerns. > > As you may know, I was diagnosed with it when I lived in NJ, outside > Philadelphia, in the mid 90's, based on symptoms and living in an area > where it > was common, with all blood tests being negative, except the final one in > about 1997 was slightly positive, but below " norms for diagnosis.
