Guest guest
Where do you live? I want to stay away! Stan -------------- Original message -------------- From: " tdianaok " <tdianaok@...> Hi gang, I had two cysts removed three weeks ago, so I've been off the RA meds for awhile. Before that, my daughter was moving a big metal filing cabinet for me, and accidently it landed on my toe, the big toe joint. Yep, " ouch, " wasn't the only word I used, lol I was going to start the meds up Tuesday, when quite a weekend I've had. I cut my thumb, really bad Saturday night. I needed a stitch or two, but didn't feel like sitting in the ER all night. Then, I was on the floor today, petting my lab, when I went to get up, she didn't give me room to get up, I tumbled, and hit my head on a table corner. I was cooking dinner, picked up a pan,(HOT), and burned my hand. Now, the same hand where I cut my thumb earlier. I even burned the thumb, below the gauze. I am not having a whole lot of luck, hope things will get better later on. Hope everyone else is having a better time. You all have a good night, and be safe to all the ones affected by the hurricane, Tawny
Guest guest
Tawny, Stop it! Just kidding Honey, I know they were all accidents. Just to be on the safe side, go to bed and don't leave it for a couple of days and you should be better. I hope Labor Day is better for you. Guest guest
Shirley, The way it's going, I don't think my bed is safe. But, so far so good this morning. I'm counting on this day to be a nice one. You have fun today, Tawny > > Tawny, > Stop it! Just kidding Honey, I know they were all accidents. Guest guest
Hi... My girlfriend has a disability as well (although I was NEVER suppose to be on that list) and I hear her drop things or knock things over two of three times a night. She goes through " phases " where she pulls muscles or twists her ankle or smacks her head. She insists she can see in the dark but I really do believe she would do better if she turned on the !*$ & ^ing light when she was in the kitchen. I gave up long ago and try not to get annoyed, while avoiding the danger zone! Guest guest
I am frugal about strange things. I will spend $200+ on a handbag, but don't want to turn on a light to save on electricity!!! BUT after tripping, falling, & bumping various body parts..I've decided that it's worth a fraction of a cent to turn on a light to see where I'm going at night :-) Dorothy _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of tdianaok Sent: Monday, September 01, 2008 3:30 PM Subject: [ ] Re: OT-Bad time lately, Hi Stan, I do go through the same thing, I have been known as, " clumsy. Guest guest
OUCH, Tawny - (((HUGS))) - I wonder if having to be off the RA meds for a while has made you more unstable physically and that's why you keep hurting yourself. Are you going to restart your meds? Please be careful in the meantime........Doreen > > Hi gang, > > I had two cysts removed three weeks ago, so I've been off the RA > meds for awhile. Guest guest
Dorthy, I have always walked around the house in the dark. I just need to rememeber, I'm not the same young lady, I use to be. There is a lot of habits I need to change. Hope your day is going well, Tawny > > I am frugal about strange things. Guest guest
Hi Doreen, I do believe that is a part of the problem. I am clumsy anyway, the last couple of years, I'm not that steady on my feet. With this cut on my thumb, I'm not sure if I should start my meds, or not. It's hard to be careful around here, with all my animals, but I'm trying. You take care of yourself, and thanks for posting, I appreciate, T > >

Guest guest
Tawny, I had an accident on Sat. trimming a pecan tree back, the saw fell from the tree branch I'd " balanced " it while I climbed down, thinking I'd fall if I had one hand full. I had on garden clogs so it cut the heck out of my ankle and blew the blood vessels too. I opted to clean it out and steri strip it together instead of spending the evening at ER. I wound up going to the doc the next day (he's open on Sunday) with a recurrence of an ear infection, and he said it looked clean....and gave me a huge, painful tetanus shot! I shouldn't have been doing that in the first place, I'd taken my wellies off since they were so hot. If I'd kept my boots on it never would have happened. That's my stupid thing for the week...hope your accident factor goes down, sweet girl. I sympathize with you as I wear a house slipper on my big blue foot! > > Hi gang, > > I had two cysts removed three weeks ago, so I've been off the RA meds > for awhile. Guest guest
Jane, Sorry about your weekend. It seems accidents go hand in hand with RA. I hope your foot is better really soon. Guest guest
(((Jane))) I feel so bad for you:( We both need to be more careful, but it's so hard sometimes. There is always so much to do around here, and it's just kind of overwhelming for me. I'm glad you went to the doctor, and got a tetanus shot. You take it easy on that blue foot, and hope your ear infection is better. Hey, wearing that slipper on that foot is a plan, take care Tawny > >
