Ugh, BW Normal

My Rheum. called me and said that the battery of BW that he had run on me turned

out

normal, except for Anemia.

I couldn't have been more upset if he told me I had malaria, in fact, I wish he

did. I have

nodules, bi-lateral swelling for months, incredible pain and you can clearly

look at my hands

and see something is wrong. I have only made a few posts here but I was

diagnosed by a

different Rheum. back in 2003

I believe you can have RA without positive BW, correct?

I truly feel like I am going insane.

Thanks,

Hi !

Don't worry you are not going insane! I know it is VERY FRUSTRATING when you

have symptoms but all of the blood work is normal. Most likely, seronegative.

I'm having issues lately with the dr who diagnosed me as seronegative. She was

treating it with 2 DMARDS and just this week, cut me down to one, when we were

supposed to be increasing my treatment. It seems when we are not the classical

case, we are not always taken seriously. It reminds me back to the days 8 years

ago when I spent 2 years before that trying to find the answer to my

Fibromyalgia.

My husband was symptomatic for about 6 years before his blood work

showed any indication of RA. I just wonder how much better off he

would be if they had started some type of treatment way back then.

That's what really worries me. & nbsp; I was being treated with two dmards..I'm

still shocked I was taken off the one that I can take even when I have an URI

yet left on the one I have to stop taking all the time. & nbsp; I was supposed to

begin Enbrel or methotrexate this past week instead my treatment was

" simplified " . & nbsp;
