Guest guest
Dear Forum Re: /message/7151 This issue has been discussed before at various levels. In fact the CRIS initiative by UNAIDS was aimed at quite similar objectives. I am not aware what happened to it susequently. Other senior and informed members of the forum could enlighten us on this. At this moment, the UNAIDS website on CRIS (http://www.unaids.org/en/HIV_data/CRIS/default.asp) also appears to be silent on the issue. Or is this webpage under construction? More than just a registry, I think we need a whole Knowledge Management System on HIV/AIDS issues. A system for periodic collection and reporting of data would be a part of it. Such a system could provide a listing/directory of various resources available and could also provide information on the latest trends on the epidemic. Thus, an MIS would be an essential part of the system. Subsequently it could also be linked up with various other information systems.
