The candidate should have an experience working in the health sector preferably in HIVAIDS program management with a thorough understanding of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in India with excellent communication skills Key qualifications: • A Medical Graduate, MBBS with DPH and/or MPH, MD in Community Medicine. • At least three (3) years experience in the field of health management preferably in the field of HIVAIDS management. • Experience in administrative management and understanding of financial management preferable. • Ability to communicate clearly in English and Hindi. • Must posses an adequate computer skills including use of internet/ e-mail application and MS-Office software; • Ability to meet deadlines; • Team player service-minded and able to work under pressure; • Available to start working in Mid May 2007. Roles and Responsibilities: Represent AHF at ASACS, NGO meetings and conferences, in particular those related to HIV/AIDS treatment, technical, and/or policy in Assam and in the North East region. Advocate AHF perspective on HIV/AIDS-related policy, laws, and regulations in the State; Responsible for the smooth functioning of the NACO AHF and ASACS projects, liaise with Ministry of Health, The Government Medical Colleges Officials, Positive Networks, NGO and iNGO partners and other key stakeholders and report on a regular basis; Identify community needs for enhancing the services of ART centers in Assam, create linkages with new organization, and strengthen existing relationships with CBO's, FBO's for HIVAIDS care and treatment in Assam. Conduct treatment preparedness workshop, trainings in collaboration with State AIDS Control Societies, Positive Groups and other NGO's on ART treatment for HIV. Identify training needs, plan and coordinate training programs and activities in collaboration with the APBC, AHF's Director of Training, and local implementing partners; Conduct regular monitoring and evaluation of the project outlined in the work plans and to keep APBC informed of the quality, relevance and other important issues of the project to manage effective implementation to achieve targets of the set objectives. Support activities of Positive networks and PLHAs, assist positive groups to organied support groups, technical skills and capacity enhancement for ART adherance and community follow. Regular reporting of the activities, progress and updates on a weekly, monthly basis and a detailed quarterly report for AHF consultations and reviews. And any other task assigned from time to time.
